Locator
Locator is capable of discovering the whereabouts of electronic circuitry incorporating transistors and diodes (non-linear junctions) regardless of whether the circuits are powered or not.
Radio transmitters, receivers, power amplified microphones, electronic timers, and similar equipment invariably contain semi-conductors and can therefore be detected by Locator. It is simply the most invaluable tool for a technical surveillance counter measure inspection (TSCMI).
The ability to detect a dormant electronic circuit is particularly important in the case of a remotely controlled device or a device in which the battery is awaiting replacement. It also proves invaluable in the detection of 'Trojan Horse' type eavesdropping devices hidden in furnishings or objet d'art.
A high frequency signal is transmitted and will 'bounce' off diodes in the target area. The return signals are picked up by Locator's sensitive receivers, appraised and used to disclose the existence of a device.
Locator is available in four different specifications: a high power (8w) unit for TSCMI operations & Defensive Search. A 2w or 4w version suitable for use in both TSCMI & Defensive Search operations and a 100mw version unit for sensitive searches such as baggage screening and environments where the range (ERP) is not a critical factor.
Locator has been issued with a NATO stock number for use in certain configurations. Details on request.
